The pass percentage of CBSE 12th students was 99.37. For the academic session 2020-2021, out of a total of 14,30,188, 13,04,561 students were evaluated, out of which 12,96,318 passed and 8,243 failed. There were a total of 70,000 students who scored more than 95% marks. The percentage of such students was 5.37. At the same time, about 10 percent students got more than 90 percent marks. In Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) where 100% students passed, the passing percentage in government schools was 99.72.

Ahead of the declaration of the result, CBSE on Thursday launched the Roll Number Finder for class 10th and 12th students. This link was released amidst confusion among the students regarding the roll number, so that the students can be sure about their roll number. CBSE had also tweeted on Friday before the declaration of the result, advising the students to keep their roll number information so that they do not face any problem in viewing the result.

This time the 12th examination was canceled in view of Kovid-19. A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Merit list has also not been released this time due to lack of examination. CBSE has already clarified that due to non-examination, the results have been prepared on the basis of optional evaluation policy and if a student is not satisfied with his/her result, he/she can appear for the special examination to be held in August.
