Terrorist attacks on Pakistan increased by 56 percent after Taliban occupation of Afghanistan
International Forum for Rights and Security (IFRAS) has said in a report that terrorist attacks have increased by 56 percent in Pakistan.
Terrorist attacks in neighboring Pakistan have increased after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. On Wednesday, the International Forum for Rights and Security (IFRAS) has said in a report that terrorist attacks have increased by 56 percent in Pakistan. Whereas in the month of May last year, the Taliban occupied a large part of Afghanistan. It has been said in this report that with the support of Pakistan and with the help of about 6000 fighters of Tehreek-e-Taliban, the Taliban had captured Afghanistan. Apart from this, many other Pakistan-based Sunni fundamentalist groups had helped the Taliban.
The report said that as a result of the changing situation in Afghanistan, the influence of ISIS-K has also increased in the region and is now challenging the new regime in Kabul. The report claimed that ISIS-K has carried out several attacks on the Taliban since the US withdrew from Afghanistan and the Taliban came to power. Apart from this, this dreaded group has also been involved in some recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
The figures collected by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, which is considered a think tank of Pakistan, show that in the year 2021, terrorist attacks have suddenly increased by 56 percent in Pakistan. Whereas during the previous six years there was a decrease in terrorist attacks. In the year 2021, there were 294 attacks in Pakistan. 388 people were killed and 606 people were injured. Nothing has been said on this report either from Islamabad or Kabul. But it is important that both these countries have tried to ignore ISIS-K.
It has been told that the Balochistan of Pakistan remains a very sensitive area. Here 170 people have died in 103 terrorist attacks. Apart from this, the number of injured is also very high here. Apart from this, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is the second most sensitive area in the case of terrorist attacks.
