China, which has been blinded by the desire to maintain its dominance over the world, has now started expanding its feet towards space. A new report claims that China has test-fired a new hypersonic missile from space. The report quoted several sources as saying that China had tested this missile in August this year.

This nuclear-capable missile was tested, the missile orbited in the low orbit or low orbit of the earth. However, the test missed its target by just 32 km.

The report also said that China's progress in making hypersonic missiles has taken US intelligence agencies by surprise. Apart from China, America, Russia, and at least five countries are currently working on hypersonic technology.

Hypersonic missiles can carry nuclear warheads just like conventional ballistic missiles. Hypersonic missiles are those that travel five times the speed of sound. However, the biggest difference between the two is that ballistic missiles can fly high in space whereas hypersonic missiles can travel much lower in the atmosphere and reach their intended targets much faster.

Hypersonic missiles are often difficult to detect and destroy. Although countries such as the US have developed systems that protect against cruise and ballistic missiles, systems to track and destroy hypersonic missiles have not yet been developed.
