China administered both doses of vaccine to 1 billion people
Vaccination of 71 percent of the population was completed.
China has given both doses of the corona vaccine to 71 percent of its country's population. According to government data released by China on Thursday, one billion people in the country have been given both doses of the anti-corona vaccine.
China has achieved this great position amidst strict restrictions to stop Corona. In the southeastern areas of China, once again Corona started spreading its feet, after which Beijing has completely closed many borders.
China's National Health Commission spokesman Mi Feng told the press conference, 'According to the data as of 15 September, 2.16 billion doses of anti-corona vaccine have been given across the country.'
Chinese officials said last month that 89 crore citizens in the country had been given both doses of the vaccine. Although the government has not publicly announced any vaccination targets, Zhong Nanshan said last month that by the end of this year, China will complete the vaccination of 80 percent of its population.
The Delta variant of the corona virus is currently wreaking havoc in China. There have been 200 new cases in the country's Fujian province, most of whom are school students. On Thursday, 80 new cases have been reported in China, out of which 49 people have been infected inside the country.
