He noted that Vladivostok has repeatedly been the organizer of major high-level sports events. These are the Taekwondo World Championship, the Aquabike World Cup, the Go World Championship, the SCF International Large Sailboat Regatta, the annual Galaxy Marathon, and the RF Race. By the way, in 2019 Vladivostok was recognized as the running capital of Russia.
“We have good experience in holding international events at a high level. The Vladivostok administration is ready to assist in organizing and holding the Children of Asia international sports games, - stressed Konstantin Shestakov.
The head of Vladivostok also appealed to Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Games Committee, with a request to supplement the Children of Asia sports games with non-Olympic sports.
“We have three disciplines in which Vladivostok is strong enough: the game of go, Kudo, and Kyokushin. I would like the guys from these spheres to be able to take part in international events, ”said Konstantin Shestakov.
The President of the International Committee of Games "Children of Asia" noted that the proposal of the head of Vladivostok will be considered without fail.
The Children of Asia International Sports Games have been held every four years since 1996 under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. They cover the entire Asian continent, as well as some European countries.
