Another BJP leader killed in Kashmir
Javed Ahmed Dar was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in South Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon.
This is the second killing of a BJP leader in South Kashmir in the last week. Javed was shot by terrorists outside his house in Homshalibagh. The BJP leader was being taken to the hospital after the incident but died on the way.
It is being told that 30-year-old Javed was hit by several bullets. National Conference President Omar Abdullah has condemned the incident. Omar Abdullah tweeted saying bad news from Kulgam, Javed Aham has been murdered. I strongly condemn this terrorist attack and express my condolences to Javed's family and associates. May Allah give them a place in Paradise. On the killing of the BJP leader, party spokesperson Altaf Thakur confirmed the leader's murder in Kulgam. He said Ahmed Dar was the youth leader of the party and was in charge of the Kulgam constituency. Thakur termed the killing of the party's constituency president as barbaric.
Appealing to the police to nab the killers and give them severe punishment, he said the terrorists were feeling desperate and were targeting innocents. Nothing will happen by killing unarmed people. On 10 August, BJP sarpanch Ghulam Rasool Dar and his wife Jawahira Bano were killed by terrorists in Anantnag city.
Dar was the President of BJP Kisan Morcha of Kulgam district and also served as Sarpanch of Redwani village in the district. His wife was also a member of the panchayat of the same village. Dar's PSO was suspended for not being present at the spot. TRF had claimed responsibility for the murder.
The BJP claimed that 19 of its leaders were killed in the year 2020 and so far 21 have been killed in various terrorist attacks across Kashmir. Please tell that most of the BJP leaders of the state have been provided security by the government and they live in safe places.
